Nature Masterclasses for ACCE DTP students
The Nature Masterclasses face-to-face 2-days workshops are intensive and interactive training workshops on scientific writing and publishing, designed and delivered by two current nature journal editors (Anna Armstrong, Senior Editor of Nature Biology and Cezar Sanchez, Senior Editor of Nature Communications), experts in understanding the publishing processes and structuring a high-quality scientific manuscript. The Nature journal editors are chosen specially to match the subject areas of the attending researchers and maximise the impact of the training.

Agenda and breaks
Please see the full programme for both days. Lunch and refreshments during the breaks will be provided.
Nature Masterclasses will provide a participant handbook which contains notes from each session and practical exercises as well as a useful place to jot down notes. The handbook acts as a helpful reference point for the material they cover during the course, particularly after it has finished. Each participant will be provided with: branded pen; branded notepad; a recent copy of Nature, lanyard and a name badge, folder and a certificate of achievement.
Laptops and Tablets
You must bring your laptops or tablets to the Masterclass for notes taking, following the Masterclass slides, and fill the online feedback form.
Homework for Participants
For the practical exercise, the editors are asking participants to bring an abstract and title to the Masterclass with them on the day. The abstract (published or unpublished) should be around 200 words that the editors can then review with the participant during the exercise. This one-on-one feedback is extremely valuable and popular with all Masterclass attendees.
Please see more details in the attached participants’ guide.
